Lizzy's first try of 'solids' came when she was 5 1/2 months old. We gave her Farex just like we gave Bec and then Will. I love her initial priceless reaction! She pushed just about all of it out with her tongue that first time, but in the following week she started to get the hang of eating and now she is a dream to feed. Mum, Dad and my sisters gave me a fantastic little machine for my birthday that steams and then blends up her food so I've been having fun experimenting with all sorts of vegie purees. Her favourite so far is sweet potato, carrot and apple.
We all went off to the school fete earlier this month and the big kids took great delight in having their hair sprayed in bright colours. Bec went for stripes and Will for spots. And boy, did they thought they were the bees knees!
We've been spending a bit of time out in the backyard lately, enjoying the sunshine. Lizzy is very taken with the grass and loves to pluck out chubby little fist-fulls and shove them into her mouth. This photo cracks me up, I cannot get over how long her tongue is!

It always puzzles me how my kids eat bugs, grass and cat food...yet turn their noses up at vegies!?!
