Sisters and Lizzy's Quilt

The photos on this layout are a couple of my favourite pics at the moment. Miss Beccy holding her baby sister with the most enormous grin across her face. She loves playing with Lizzy. Truly loves it. She always tries to drag her up onto her lap for a cuddle, but Lizzy is a little squirmy worm and tries to climb straight off again. They laugh and carry on together and it is so beautiful to watch. And I love that Lizzy is wearing some of Bec's hand-me-down clothes, a sweet little outfit that I always loved on Bec too. Yep, definitely a couple of favourite photos.

The journalling reads: "This relationship between you two is so special. You genuinely enjoy playing with your baby sister and she definitely loves playing with you, It is beautiful to see!"

And this one to record the story behind a truly special gift:

After Lizzy was born we were sent the most beautiful, heartfelt gift from my dear, sweet friend Tatum. We used this quilt every single day as a playmat when she was little, as a cover over her pram when we were out and now as a snuggle rug on the couch It is so loved and treasured. I can't thank Tatum enough for making that for my little girl. I made this layout to tell Lizzy where it came from, so all the information and a pic of Tatum and myself from a Scrapboxx retreat is tucked away on that tag behind the photo, just in case someone wonders where it came from one day. I made that little spotty flower and the sweet little cherry button down the bottom too - this page needed a couple of handmade fabric embellies! Tatum's sewing is beautiful and she has just started up her own company with her sisters called "Unicycle Design" to sell handmade clothes. I'm sure it is going to do so well!

It's been a bit of a slow week here. Poor Will was struck down with the gastro bug again this week, it seems to be going through his class at the moment. So he's been home with me yesterday and again today. Apart from the sicky part it's been nice though. Nice to have my little man at home again during the day. We've played lots of Lego and way too many games of Chutes and Ladders and The Very Hungry Caterpillar to count. It's been a sweet reminder of what we used to share each day. He'll be back to school tomorrow though and I'll be back to missing him again :(

Hope you're all well and have avoided the bugs!
