A fantastic weekend

Saturday morning I flew up to Brisbane and met my beautiful sister. We spent a lovely day shopping in town, passed the enormous crowd of screaming girls lining up to get photos of Hamish and Andy, wandered around Southbank and did LOTS of walking. Then that evening we went to see this man.......Billy Joel!

And he was SO very good! The man is amazing, his voice, those magic hands. And he was funny too! It was completely sold out and we had the best seats. On the floor, right in the middle and only about 20 rows from the front. He played lots of his old song and lots of his hits, and they were all sensational. I have seen him before, in 1994 when he did the River of dreams tour, but I hadn't remembered just how wonderful he was.

Then Sunday morning we went to see Australia. I completely loved it, that little boy is just beautiful and he did the most amazing job. Definitely a chick flick, I cried and cried and was very grateful for my shades when we left the theatre! So if you have a spare 3 hours, go treat yourself!
